We are proud to say that we were appointed as the main contractor for Firestopping at the Christie Hospital in Manchester in 2022, working with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, to ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors at the hospital.

Grafton Court, Princess Court, Clifford Court, Pickford Court and Empress Court, home to 455 residents, all had around 15% of their exterior surfaces covered in problem cladding, which was removed and replaced in 2021 / 2022, with Fire Block working to install cavity barriers behind the cladding. Work was completed in 2022.

The development on Town Hill will boast 39 one and two-bedroom flats, as well as underground parking and a sky garden on the sixth storey. Situated on the old Lloyds Bank site, Fire Block sprayed and protected all steels with Intumescent paint in the new building, ensuring the integrity of the frame is protected for 60 minutes.

We were asked to install cavity barriers in the studios as part of a major new build, work is ongoing, and should be completed in July 2023.

St James Quarter is a large galleria retail shopping centre and residential development in the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is situated in the east end of the New Town. We installed fire stopping in the following stores, H&M, & Other Stories, Peloton, Samsung and Holland & Barret stores.
